Rarely do examples as good as this come on the market and this car has covered a genuine 77450 miles from new and has benefitted from a nut and bolt restoration around 10 years ago, covering carful dry miles since.

Since the restoration, this Stag has covered less than 2k miles of driving and receipts since and during restoration total over £21,000 which are accompanied with several bound folders of history and photos. £7500 alone was spent on the superb V8 engine rebuild.

"The ‘Stag’ name was a development codename allocated when the design project was initiated by Giovanni Michelotti in 1965. None of the subsequent names suggested through the process were ever deemed more compelling. 55 years later the Triumph Stag occupies one of the cornerstones of the collector’s car market. The svelt Michelotti styling married to decadent V8 power makes this model both beautiful to look at and enormous fun to drive. The topaz bodywork is stunning and the paint has the most fantastic shine. All the panel gaps are even and the body panels are straight, true and blemish free.

Inside the cabin the interior has seen a complete refresh during the restoration including, Seat retrimming, new carpets, dash and steering wheel refreshments which all still present as new today.

Mechanically the 3L V8 fires straight up from cold with a small amount of choke and quickly gets warmed up and idles beautifully. The v8 is strong and raspy and the automatic gearbox is smooth. The stainless steel exhaust burbles out a joyous note making for a fantastic drive.
